Lode Prill

Lode Prills are lumps of Lode metal. They are used to make a variety of Tools and other Nodes. This page outlines how to obtain the three types of lode prill. There is no actual in-game item named "lode prill"

Obtaining

Lode Prills are formed when Lode Cobble is smelted. The prills will separate from the slag and fall out the bottom as Glowing Lode Prills. On contact with water, glowing lode prills will turn into Tempered Lode Prills. Otherwise, the glowing prills will eventually cool into Annealed Lode Prills once removed from heat. They can also be formed from Lode Bars when forged with a Stone-Tipped Mallet or better.

Usage

Either annealed or tempered lode prills can be heated to form glowing lode prills. A stack of 3 or more glowing lode prills placed on a tempered lode block (serving as an anvil) can be pummeled with a mallet until it forms a lode mallet head. Continued pummeling will cycle through tool heads in the same order as with wood, tossing out glowing lode prills as needed. The spade and hatchet heads cost 2 prills, and the pick head costs 1 prill. The head itself can then be tempered just like the prills.
