Staff

A staff is a craftable node mainly used for making tools.

Obtaining

Staves can be crafted by placing a stick atop another stick. When mined, a staff will drop itself.

Usage

The most common use of the staff is in crafting. Here is a list of recipes that require a staff:

4. Hatchet

6. Wooden Ladder

Staves are also widely used for firestarting, as they tend to catch better than plain sticks.
